BOATH - GLASGOW SOCTLAND
Posted by: Teresa Robinson Date: September 02, 2001 at 10:52:21

Hi all,

have come across the following information whilst researching my ancestors, if it means anything please contact me. At present I cannot find a family connection for the name Boath to my ancestors and suspect they were friends of my G.G.Grandmother.

Death Notice taken from original newspaper cutting reads:-

Margaret (nee CUROE) KENNEDY - my G.G.Grandmother
died 24th March 1946 (82yrs) at 8 Garrrioch Drive, Glasgow, home of her daughter Mrs J.M BOATH

Death Certificate reads:-
Jane (known as Jean) (nee KENNEDY) FERGUSON
died - 1st Feb 1976 (81yrs)at Royal Infirmary Glasgow
last address 71 Garnet Hill, Glasgow
death reported by JON C. BOATH nephew, Hillhead District Glasgow.

Death Certificate reads:-
Robert Adam FERGUSON (husband of Jean Kennedy)
died - 29th March 1980 at 50 St Andrews Drive, Glasgow (91yrs)
reported by JON C.BOATH nephew, 4 High St (unreadable).

I suspect Jon C.Boath is the son of Mrs J.M.Boath and he could still be alive. I would love to be able to solve this mystery for my mum, it has bugged her for 40yrs.

cheers
Teresa.
