My grandfather and two of his sisters--Joseph, Antonina, and Mary, family name Bochenek--came to America between about 1892 and 1910. They were in New England at first; Joseph eventually moved to upstate NY.
They were from Gieldlarowa. When researching on the Ellis Island site I noticed other Bochenek's coming from Giedlarowa to Passaic, NJ. I wonder if they are closly related. Have you searched the Ellis Island site? I saw 2 Anna Bocheneks who came in 1909. One was 30y and married and the other was 20y and single. Our Antonina went by Anna. Good Luck in your search.
