My grandfather, Carl Bock arrived in the US circa 1908 with his father, and a brother probably through NY. His mothers name may have been Marie. Carl was born April 30, 1894 in Gratz (Graz) Austria and attended a boys schoolin the area. Apparently the family became seperated shortly after arriving with Carl becoming a teacher (for German) for a wealthy family that traveled a great deal. He went to work around the outbreak of World War I with the Colonna family in the Norfolk, VA area. He married my grandmother Sallie Felton Barker in 1919, and spent the rest of his life with the Colonna's until his death in 1962.
I would be very greatfull for information on the family in this country as well as any info on our ancestors in Austria (Europe).
