Wolfgang: You gave me Al Matjeka's email address about two years ago and I contacted him. He had no information on the Matjeka family beyond the name of his grandfather, Peter Matjeka. I supplied him with the rest of the family information: names, marriages, deaths, children, etc., and then he stopped corresponding with me completely. I would like to know if you have the name of a brother of Anna Matjeka, mother of Theresia Bock. This could possibly be the ancestor we are seeking who came to Bastrop Co., Tx. with his wife, Theresa, and two children, Peter and Theresa. Shortly after their arrival, the father presumably died and a third child, Sophia Matjeka was born in 1856. She is my husband's ancestor. I am seeking the father's name and place of origin. Various censuses say the first two children were born in: Prussia; Hungary; and Germany. Have you seen these names in your research. Also, is there any connection to a Herman Mueller/Miller with this Bock family? Appreciate any help. Mary Pearson mepwep@flash.net
