Please every Bock out there read this. I would like to know just when the earliest Bock family came to the United States. I found a Bock family out there that came to the United States in 1731 on the ship Britannia of London out of Rotterdam a Leonhard Bock who came with his wife Elizabetha Kiefer Bock and five children. Two sons and three daughters. Johann Leonard Bock, Hans Michael Bock, then the three daughters, Maria Katherina Bock, Maria Sabina Bock, Maria Elizabetha Bock and on the ships list it said, Place of origin and please tell me where this is Preuschdorf & Goersdorf or Gerstorff. Then it said source Bur 1992, could someone tell just what source that is. I have traced my Bock family back to 1757/1758 to a Michael Bock that was in the Rev. War and what I've found on him is not that much from his early life. The earliest I find him is at the age of ten or eleven when he came to W.Va. from Fredricktown, Md with his parents but nothing gives the name of his parents, but the family has always been told that his name was Hans Michael Bock and that is where this Hans Michael Bock comes in because this Hans would have been twenty-eight years old at the birth of my Michael Bock. Please everyone that reads this e-mail respond to me at sterntj@hotmail.com .................Thank You
Kathy
