I am researching my g-g-grandfather Peter P. (Paul?) Bodkin, born CA. 1840 in either Portland, ME or Ireland. Listed in 1860 Census as living in Portland, ME and married to Mary Wescott. Served in the 16th Main Volunteer Regiment from 1861 to 1865. One known son: Horace Arthur Bodkin, Sr., B. 1861, Portland, ME. Disappeared on a sojourn to the American West in search of gold according to family tradition. Any info appreciated.
