This is information that has passed down through the family. My Great Grandmother was Cherokee Indian. She married a man named Bodkin or Bodkins (her second husband) they had a daughter named Donna. They lived in Clay County, Kentucky. Donna would be my great aunt. My grandmother was a half-sister to Donna. Her mother was Liddie Isaacs. As I said this is just word of mouth - my sister wrote down this information told to her by my father, John L. Hubbard. Liddie Isaacs married John Gabbard and had Isaac Gabbard and Rachel Gabbard. Then it says John Gabbard "left" and Liddie Isaacs Gabbard married ___Bodkins and had a daughter named Donna Bodkins. Rachel Gabbard was my grandmother. In other words, that's where the Cherokee Indian came into the Bodkins family. Of course, that's one version and I don't know Bodkins first name or anything about him.
