In researching my wife's ancestors of the Pilling family, we have the tradition that 3 sisters: Annie, Sarah Jane and Mary Ellen Watson from Ohio were educated in England. Mary Ellen remained in England and married John Silas Pilling in 1900.
Henry Bodkin is said to have researched this branch of the Ohio Pilling family.
Is there a Bodkin/Watson/Pilling connection?
We are led to believe that the tribe was Lakota/Sioux.
