I have been trying to find a link to my g-g-grandfather, James Bodkin from Tuam. He enlisted with the East India Company Volunteers in 1839 and sailed on the Lady Flora to Madras. He died in 1856 leaving one daughter, Harriet. He was listed as an apothecary and his wife was Mary Ryan.
