Funny you should have a BOEHM connection in Chicago, so do I, but mine lived there in the mid to late 1800s.

Do you think she was a descendant of them?

There were 4 brothers, Christoph, Michael, Jacob, and Friedrich Boehm, the oldest born in 1814 and the youngest in the 1820s. They were from Thuringen province of Germany and came to the Chicago area in the mid 1800s, between 1840-1850.

I know this probably doesn't help but I would think some of their descendants would have stuck around.
