I'm a bit late getting to this site but Martin (I believe the same one) is a an ancestor of mine. He was born in 1725 (youngest son) in Lancastar County. He married an Eve Steiner (also from a German immigrant family). I gather he was a farmer and after a dramatic 'calling' while plowing the fields, began his life as a minister / preacher. I believe he was the founder of the United Bretheren Church. He died on Mar 23 1812 on the homestead in Lancaster. Let me know if this is of any help (or if you can clarify the details). Would also like to see your finished project.
Cheers,
Chris
