greetings...i am trying to find my great grandfather Wilhelm Böhm , and
his son Max Frederick Böhm born 2/2/1851 who were living in
Marienwerder, Prussia (now kwidzyn, Polnad).
Max emigrated to the United States in 1873, supposingly from Hamburg to
Baltimore, Maryland..but no records. Max lived in Bay City, MIchigan,
and died in February, 1911.
i found LDS records that indicated the fiancee of Max, Lenore or
Eleonore Novark (Nowark) was from Gunthen, Prussia, 12 miles east (now Gonty,
Poland) who was born in 1857.
They were lutheran, and i the LDS site indicated Wilhelm Bohm and his
wife Wilhelmina Wollenberg were the parents of max F Bohm. Any means to
search tax records, or church records?
I also tried to find a list of evangelical parishes in Westpreussen but not able to connect.
