There seems to be two places named Hordt. One is in Kreis Borken-Westfalen, now part of the city of Stadtlohn, between Vreden and Gescher.

The other is in Rhineland Pfalz, near Germersheim. The later is where my Boehm's are from.
Hordt is the name of a small southern German village on the Rhein river. It is near the town of Speyer. It is in the German state of Rheinland Pfalz. Sometimes this region is referred to as Bavaria or Bayern. It is predominately a Catholic town. The mormons have filmed all their Catholic records from the church in Hordt (named St George). These records are from the 1950's (I think) back the the 1680's. They contain baptism, marriage, confirmation, and death records. Good Luck!
