Nathan:

I just read your posting and it gave me goose bumps....I have always wondered about the connection between the VA Boehms and the PA Boehms. I am an ancestor of Reuben, Samuel's son who was married to Catharine Stover, eventually down through John Boehm and onto Barnet Barr (my great, great, great grandfather)married to Sarah Hottel of New Cordyon, Indiana.

The history I have through B.B. Boehm's ancestors show that there were two Boehm's on the ship the "St. Andrew", which arrived in Philly on 10/27/1738. One was shown as Samuel Boehm, the other as Peter Bohm, "relationship unknown". It says that Peter lived in Joseph Stoneman's tax district in Lancaster Co., PA and died in 1785. I have done my fair share of research on our ancestors, but like you, are unable to find the relationship between the two.

If I can be of any help, whether with the written text that I have or any contacts that I may have, please feel free to contact me.

Catherine
