Boehm Family Tree

I am looking for the history of my family. Any information anyone out there can share would be appreciated. Here's my contribution. Hope it helps someone else in their search for roots. (Feel free to correct any errors, as I tried to do this from memory and family legend.)

My father was Samuel Paul Boehm, born in St Louis MO in 1897. His father was Emil Boehm, who family lore says immigrated alone from Schaffhausen Germany at the age of 14, so he was probably born sometime between 1867 and 1880. Emil married a woman of German or Middle European heritage named Verde Kuenzli, though I'm a little uncertain about the spelling of her surname. The family eventually settled on a farm in Whitehouse OH (Toledo area), probably some time well before 1915.

My father's younger siblings were Grace, Fred, Elmer, Carl, Nelson, and Nellie.

My father became a policeman on the Detroit MI force about 1930, retiring about 1950. He died in 1963 of a heart attack.

Elmer worked as a food cart vendor in Detroit automobile factories until sometime between 1968 and 1975, when he was murdered by a fishing partner on the Detroit River.

Nelson was a truck farmer in Whitehouse OH until his death in the late 1970s or early 1980s.

Most of his life Fred worked in some kind of a factory. I think he died in the 1970s.

For all I know, Uncle Carl may still be alive, though the odds are against it. We were not close, which is something I regret.

I think Aunt Grace died sometime in the 1970s in Whitehouse.

I look forward to any replies. // Samuel Paul Boehm II
