My ancestor came to Virginia and first settled in Orange County, chased out by Indians and headed to Lancaster, PA where other family were and then returned to Virginia to Shanahdoah County where his cabin still stands. His family in Lancaster is where the Boehm's Chapel is. The grandson of the man who settling in Lancaster from Germany wrote a 600+ page book and mentions traveling to Fort Pitt with Francis Asbery with the Methodist Church. Did some of his family move to Fort Pitt? I am not sure. There was a great source for that family living in Canada named Douglas Beahm but last year he was in the last stages of cancer and may not be alive now. He had years of research. Who has it now? Not sure. It is possible that one of boys in my line traveled to Fort Pitt. Of that, I do not have record. I am sorry. Have you been able to trace yours past Fort Pitt?
