I've a Napoléon François Bois, but he probably isn't your one, as I think he was a bachelor and died childless. He was born 1842, probably in Maire village,Briqueville-sur-Mer, (nr. Bréhal)on the Cherbourg Peninsula (southern Cotentin) Normandy, the 2nd child of four to my great-great-great uncle Julien Archange Bois and Victoire Françoise Costard. The present Bois' at Briqueville are descended from NFB's younger brother (Louis) and their father re-established the family in its ancient French home, after a period as a child refugee in Jersey; Julien Archange's older brother (François [II]) remaining in Jersey (Iles Anglo-Normandes)[from whom I am descended]. Napolèon's big sister married her cousin François Bois [III] in Jersey, so Julien Archange Bois is also one of my great-grandfathers and Napoleon-F Bois a gt-gt-uncle and 1st cousin four times removed.I imagine Napoleon was a pretty popular forename in this period (for Naploeon III, - 'Boney' [Nap. the 1st] not being too popular in my family, as he tried to conscript children towards the end - hence the two bros. as child refugees), and that this isn't who your after - but just in case the old boy had some skeletons in the closet, we didn't know about!?
