I'm researching John Bosher of Clarendon Co SC c1790 and saw your interest in him and in the Boisseau name as well. In a Griffin will of SC c1748, Joyce Griffin mentions her widowed daughter Elizabeth Bocer. Some of her other children lived next to the Boisseaus in St. Stephen's Parish, and later moved across the Santee to Clarendon District. So I'm thinking that John Bosher of Clarendon is a grandson and that his original family name was Boisseau. But there is a Thomas Bosher of Georgetown that could be connected to John. Do you have any data on these folks?

You also mention a Holmes name. Joyce's grandaughter Ann Griffin married James Holmes. There are few records for the Griffin family, but I'm slowly sussing them out. Any help would be appreciated.
