I don't have any proof other than what I said except that
my husband's DNA links back to Richard Smith and Jane Smith
of Cattail Run. The John Smith I was talking about was a son of Richard and Jane Smith.
Our line goes back to JOhn Smith born 1742 Yorktown,York, Pa..
He married part Indian Cherokee. My info stops there and there is an unknown and the possibles John or William Smith sons of Richard and Jane Smith.
How I know our line goes back to Richard and Jane is our DNA matches another line which they are linked up with another Richard and Jane Smith, this Richard is the son of Edward
Smith and sp. unk, Edward is the son of Edward Smith
and Elizabeth Smith, Edward is the son of Richard and Jane Smith of Prince George co., Va. Cattail Run.
