In Reply to: want French history on Boisseau[x] by Emilee Cochran of 146

I found all of this in the New Orleans library. The Boisseau Coat of Arms exists in a French book of Heraldry, sorry I seem to have lost the cover page. But the very old book is in New Orleans Library. There are 3 shields: one that has "Dauphine", one that has "Boisseau du Tiret, Lonnais, Fores, Bugey" and and one with "Auv", perhaps referring to Auvigonn? It is on page 18.
I would also refer you to "English Duplicates of Lost Virginia Records" published by Genealogical Publishig Co, Baltimore
also: Master Index to the Huguenot and Index to Vestry Book of King William Parish, VA 1707-1750 published by the Family HistoryFoundation. Also, "Encyclopedia of Virginia Biography" New York: Lewis Historical Publishing Co. 1915 -- an old book in the New Orleans Library. There is an interesting article on Patrick Henry Boisseau, of Danville, VA - There is a great deal of information and shows a connection to family in New Jersey. The old French letters, mentioned in a previous posting, apparently reside with someone in New Jersey (?). thank you.
