Henrich Bollinger had 2 grandsons named Solomon, and one great grandson.John (Johannes) Bollinger's son Solomon was my 4x great grandfather. He was b. 1790 in Lincoln N.C.He married Barbary Hobbs btwn 1811-1820.They had 4 children that we know of, a son Solomon Jr. b. 1829 MO.,and 3 daughters. One daughter, Delilah, was my 3x great grandmother. We know nothing about the other 2 girls.
The other Solomon Bollinger was 1st cousin to my Solomon and was b. 1789 in N.C.According to "The Bolllinger Connection" this Solomon never married.I think he was the son of Daniel or David.
My 4x g-gf died btwn 1840-41 and after his death, his family first went to Greene Co.AR, where Delilah married Ezra Helfer. Then by 1850 the 2 families are in Christian Twp, Independence Co. AR.Barbary is shown as 60 and living with her is Solomon Jr. and a 12 year old boy named Henry Hobbs. A few doors down is Ezra and Delia (Delilah) Helfer (Helfon). Solomon Jr. married Prudence Moss, sister to my 3x great aunt, Mary Polly Moss Leonard. He died as a Union soldier in the Civil War.We think Barbary died betwn 1850-1860 AR.Ezra Helfer died in 1853 in Jackson AR. and by 1850 Delilah is living in Grayson Co. TX with her 2 orphaned grandaughters, Mary Ellen Leonard (my G-GM) and her sister, Sarah Issabella Leonard.
We are searching for any information about Delilah's sisters. It is possible one married a Redden, but this has not been proven.Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Hope this answers some of your questions.
