Hi Freda,

I just came across your posting by incident. I woulc have never thought, that there is so much information out there on Boltz families. Can one say that all the Boltz people came from a single family in some time in the past (going back far enough?) or are those names made up at some point in time, so that there could be totally unlinked branches and families of Boltz? As you can see, I am completely new to the subject, but find it very interesting. I am living in Germany, but do not know a lot about my ancestry... but now I'm anxious to find out more. My father, Klaus Boltz, born in 1939, was a school teacher..., his parents, Robert and Mathilde ('tille') Boltz lived in Wernersberg and Annweiler (where my grandma still lives). I think they came from Speyer region but I need to find out, as well as their birthdays etc. I guess I have to spend a weekend at my grandma's to find out everything I can, will be glad to let you know if you are interested.
From the info I have right now, does your book cover maybe my grandpa or grandma?
Another question: If I want to build a family tree... Is there any good software out there for free, which you could use? And one more: is there family signs of the family? Coming from Germany of the palatine area, on each little hill there is a castle or a fortress... usually the knights used some kind of familiy signs etc. on their armour and flags... thinking about wether there might have been something... Is there Boltz family reunions? Wouldn't it be interesting to do a reunion on one of the old castles where a Boltz once lived?
I would be interested in the book as well. Could you give me details about it?

As you can see, I'm all excited about this, hoping for an answer,

thanks in advance,
