There is no mention of the New York State Pultz's in the book but we arw all related you can be sure. In my line that starts up the Hudson River near Rhinebeck, there are many spellings including Poltz,Boltz,Pulse,Bols,Bolsz. In my own personal tree there two spellings Pulz and Pultz. The reason for this is one group said if we are Germans we should spell our name like they do.( lz) is sounded like( ltz) in that language. Also when I was a little my grandfather called me "Dutch" the old word for german
