Roxanne: It appears that our grandfathers were brothers. My grandfather's name was Phillip Jacob Boltz. His siblings were Jacob, Katherine, Henry, and William. The dates I have for my mother's "Uncle William" are the same except I have his birthdate as 31 Oct 1883 in Denhoff instead of 1 OCT. My info is from FamilySearch.org and was contributed by a descendant of their brother Jacob, but I don't know his source. I would assume yours is more likely to be correct. Anyway, I am just starting out in my German-Russian genealogy and don't have a lot of info yet. I can tell you that William's father was Jacob Boltz, Sr. I have a birth year for him of 1842. His mother was Katie Stoll, birth year of 1843. Katie's father was Johann Stoll, birth year 1817. These names and dates are from the same individual mentioned above and I dont know what his sources are, family history or what type of research he has done. I do hope you are still out there looking, as I noticed your message was posted in 2001. Anyway, I would be happy to share any info with you that I might come up with in the future. I am interested in collecting family history and stories as well as names and dates. I would love to hear back from you and compare notes. Chris
