Isaac BOWMAN was born between 1815 & 1820(c1819) in Overton Co.,TN. and married Cynthia BROWN c1840 in Overton Co.,TN.
This family is listed on page 29 of the 1840 Overton Co.,TN. Census.
They both died in the 1840's in Overton Co.,TN.

Their son was...
Josiah H. BOWMAN(1841-1882) who married Nancy DAVIS c1862 in Overton Co.,TN.

I personally doubt the BOWMAN's and the ALLRED's new each other in N.C. which is where Josiah married Elizabeth in c1795.
I found the following possability on the 1800 Bladen Co.,N.C. Census...
page 48 - Josiah BOZMAN
page 48 - William BOZMAN
I still need to check up on this, but I think it's worth looking into.

Josiah BOWMAN named his sons Samuel(c1796),Thomas(c1803),Payton(c1804),Allen(1807),& Isaac(c1819).
The name William is the only semi-common name for the ALLRED's out of all of Josiah's sons.
The name of Samuel did appear once in the early 1800's for the ALLRED's as follows...
Samuel Thompson ALLRED b. 6 OCT. 1809 & m. c1828 to Anna BUNCH,he was a son of John ALLRED & Phoebe THOMPSON.

I hope this helps,
McMinnville,Warren Co.,TN.
