Thank you for your message. I too heard that all Bombssei families are related, to those originally from Auronzo.
My grandfather's "second name" was the Gonella I listed in his name. I don't know what the "de" is for or what it means but maybe I should have put that in the name.
Although there seems to be a fair number of Bombassei in the United States they don't seem to be interested in family history. It took a long time to get a Bombassei message board.
