BonaviTa, Sadie d 1928 Bklyn NY 3rd Ave freak accident
Brooklyn standard Union of June 4 1928.WALL PAPER BURIES WOMAN IN STORE, SUFFOCATING HER Pinned beneath a small platform and covered with hundreds of rolls of
wallpaper, mrs. Sadie BONAVITA, 40 years old, of 425 3rd. ave., was smothered to death yesterday in a paint store on the first floor of the building in which she made her home.
The woman's body was found by her son Joseph who failed to find his mother in their quarters when he returned from work. a search revealed the accident. Dr. LARATELLO, of the Swedish Hospital, worked over the woman fora considerable time he was unable to revive her. Death was caused by suffocation. The paint store is conducted by Louis PEPE and James GROCE. They expected a shipment of paint late yesterday afternoon and asked mrs. BONAVITA
if she would watch the store while they were away on business. Mrs. BONAVITA assented and went downstairs to recieve the shipment. In some unexplained manner she caused the platform which supported a display of paints of kegs to
fall. The collapse of the platform caused the wallpaper rolls to tumble from the racks above and the woman was pinned beneath both. I am not related & have no other info.
