My grandfather was a Bongey but his great grandfather spelled the name Bonge. Frederick Bonge was a French Hugenot who had left France and was for a time subject to the Duke of Courland. He married my ggg grandmother Catherine Wilt in York Co PA in 1799. They named a son Henry. I have considerable information on this Bonge line
