Raimundo,
Refer to "Los Documentos para la Historia de California" compiled by Isaac Antonio Bonilla. Available at several libraries, the original is at the Bancroft Library at Berkeley.
At the end is a discussion of heraldry, but don't get your hopes up. There are many Bonilla families with arms and it remains to be seen which one you descend from, if any. Also, Arms belong only to that specific family in that specific time. They are not inheritable so they may be displayed as that ancestor's Arms but not your own.
E-mail me privately with your line so I can see if you and my husband are related. He, too, is supposedly of Castillian descent, a Bonilla line through both grandmothers.

Gail
