Hi,

I have a link to a site that will answer a lot of questions
http://srmwww.gov.bc.ca/bcgn-bin/bcg05_by_name

I also was able to confirm this in Seattle in Dec when I veiwed a traveling collection from Spain entitled "Spain, The Era of Exploration 1492 to 1800". I saw an original map of the Pacific Northwest dated in 1640 (I think) that had a notation of an "Isla de Bonilla" by Vancuver Island. I was pumped.
