I'm transcribing a book on the Medal of Honor recipients from our wars. There is an Alexander Bonnyman Jr. listed in the WWII record. He was born 05/02/1910 in Atlanta GA. He died in an assault against Tarawa in the Gilbert Islands 11/20-22/1943. I don't know if this helps you in any way but I noticed that one of your people was an Alexander so maybe it's a place to start looking.
