Hi: Unfortunately most of my information has come from distant cousins. I did find that he sailed on the ship Minerva from Rotterdam,Holland to the US. Arrived in Philadelphia on 10/29/1767. My info also states that he was born in Wittenburg and was a shoemaker. He served in the Revolutionary War under John Slaymaker. I have no other information about his German roots. I just know that when I was growing up my dad told me that we were Pennsylvania Dutch from way back. KIM
