Book/Buch Missing Generation?
Posted by: Edward Pohl (ID *****5221) Date: September 03, 2002 at 14:16:32

My mother was a Book and I have been able to trace back to Michael Buch b 7/17/1730 Wittenburg, Germany, d 3/27/1815 Henderson County, KY. Only have the name Mary 1731-1826 for his wife. Research shows eight children beginning with Catherine b 12/15/1784, ending with William b 5/7/1811. If this is correct fast math shows mother Mary would have been 53 when Catherine was born, and 80 when William showed up. It appears that one generation is missing from my research. Can anyone help? Also, all efforts to locate Buch/Book ancestors prior to 1730 have ended with Micahel Buch.Is there any history available for prior to the 1730 date?
