Raymond was born in London England May 23, 1944 (Cheltenham, England).He and his mother came to the USA when he was 21 months old (1946) on the Queen Mary, landing in New York Harbor.His Father was a soldier in Europe in World War II.
He graduated from Hot Springs High School 1962 and went to Conway where he was a student at Hendrix College for two years.
He spent 4 years in the United States Air Force (1964 -1968)One year of this time was spent in Viet Nam.He learned how to work on Navigational Equipment and Radios.During this time he did a lot of other things. (like being a truck driver, a mechanic, and other things that he needed to do to survive in a War Zone).
He married his High School sweet heart (Mary Elizabeth Powell -BOOLES)and had a family to include two sons (Lee Raymond Booles and Shannon Karl Booles).October 19 (married in 1964)--would have been 40 years.
Raymond graduated from U of T (Texas) at Austin in 1970 with a degree in Electrical Engineering.He was listed on the Who's Who for University of Texas of 1970 for research that he did and work done for U of T while going to school to receive his degree (BSEE).
First Job out of college was with Pantex, Amarillo, Texas.Where he was hired to work in the Nuclear Industry.He then worked for Westinghouse --Richland, Washington & then Westinghouse --Oak Ridge, Tennessee.He then went to work for his Step Father, and worked for ten years as Executive Vice President of Klipsch & Associates.This time he was working in the Speaker Industry and he excelled here also. He learned to fly the company airplane and spent many hours flying around on company business.
Raymond spent 6 years on dialysis after his kidneys failed him.His only requirement for time spent doing dialysis was for his music.He always had his Walkman and listened to his favorite "Rock & Roll" music.
His Grand Father (Seabron Jesse "Red" Booles)played Baseball.He played for the Cleveland Indians as a Left Handed Pitcher.He is Listed in the Encyclopedia of Baseball -1911.It is said that he was told to "Walk Babe Ruth" when he came up to bat.Instead, he struck him out and was fined $100.00.
Raymond is predeceased by his (father, Jesse Duddley Booles), his (half Brother, Eddye Raymond Booles), and his (step-father, Paul W. Klipsch).
He is survived by wife: Mary E. Powell Booles from Hot Springs.Two sons: Lee Raymond Booles (& wife Alicia) from Benton, & Shannon Karl Booles from North Little Rock, Two grandsons: Robby Booles, and Paul Michael Booles from Benton. & his mother: Valerie Booles Klipsch from Hope, Arkansas.
Visitation will be Thursday June 3, 2004 from 6 to 8 PM at Davis Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Raymond's choice was to be cremated, and his burial will be later at Peak Cemetery, Royal, AR.

Raymond's Booles grand parents were Seabron Jesse "Red" Booles and Lizzie Emma FOMBY from Union Parish, LA.
Raymond's SIMKOVITZ grand parents were from Vienna, Austria.
