MIDLAND Madie Ann Tisdale Booth passed away Saturday, June 25, 2005, in Midland.
She was born Sept. 27, 1909, in Eskota, Fisher County, to Joseph R. Tisdale and Nancy Dyess Tisdale. A resident of Midland since 1925, she married Archie Booth in 1928 in Midland.
A lifelong Baptist, Madie was first a member of the Valley View Baptist Church and later was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a longtime member of the Rebecca Lodge where she was recognized as “Mother of the Year.” Madie worked for many years as a practical nurse.
Madie was preceded in death by her husband, Archie W. Booth; sons, A.W. Booth, Jr. and Benny R. Booth; granddaughters Kristy Booth and Minka Wood; sons-in-law, Mack Huggins, W.H. Jones and Clifton Wood; her parents; four brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by three sons, Tom Booth and wife Myra of Abilene, John W. Booth and wife Naomi of Odessa and Robert Booth of Midland; four daughters, Nancy Jones of Abilene, Gene Wood of Odessa, Zella Huggins of Midland and Cynthia Huber and husband David of St. Paul, Minnesota; and daughter-in-law, Donna Booth. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home Monday, June 27, 2005, between the hours of 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
