I'm looking for my 3G-Grandfather John Botheroyd's parents. He was born around 1824.Immigrated to the US in 1849 with a George Jackson (not sure of the relation, cousin?), occupation was a seamen.I have him from 1860 & later living in Chicago IL with his wife & children working on a barge on the Chicago canals. His son George Botheroyd, Sr. and grandson George, Jr. also became barge captains and were known as "George Botheroyd Jackson" their entire lives. Other daughters I believe are similiar named (after Aunts?)
Also, our family thought we may have relatives in Indiana but not sure.
SO, I saw your same spelling of the surname, a Jackson reference AND Indiana and wondered if we may have a connection.
