Bordenave Family Genealogy Forum

I just emailed you privately but wanted to post here too. My father immigrated to the US in the early 1960's but we are trying to locate his great great uncle who left France in te late 1800's, stopping in Virginia where he married an Irish lady, then went off to San Francisco. From what we know and pictures we've seen in the bakery (before it was sold several years ago) we firmly believe he established the Bordenave's Bakery in San Rafael, CA. We do know he went into the french bread baking industry when it was first starting up there. I haven't been able to devote the time necessary to look for more leads as I am a mom of 3 children, but I am very interested to see if anyone would have information which could link up the missing branch of our tree. I would love to find the missing great great uncle for my father before he passes on (not likely anytime soon but he is in his 70's now) as a gift for him. Please contact me if you have any Bordenave information. I will be building a site dedicated to the search to link our families together. The more information given to add to the site the better we can help us all out.
