Hi Debbie: Am not sure if your Borgmans are tied into mine. Ankum is a 5000 person town about 50 miles (plus/minus) from Bremen direction to Ankum west southwest. I was there last year and got great amounts from the St Nikolaus parish taking me back to Germ Borgmann in the late 1600s.
If your people lived in the same area (northwest Germany) then it's a strong possibility that they are related. Do you know where your folks came from? LouSmith
PS The Netherlands border is not far (we took an afternoon trip there) so maybe they are tied in?
