Betty
For now I have no Charles and Jean-Baptiste Bouillon connected to my tree.
Which doesn't mean yet that we can conclude your husband and I are not relatives.
The BOUILLON genealogy I have already gathered so far concerns people from 1500 to 1850, located most of the time in Charollais, fomer county of Burgundy.
After 1850, people have started to move far away beyond the limits of the area they were used to stick and live.
During the 19th century, a lot of people have been moving to LYON,because of the industrial revolution bringing new occupations and new jobs, for the ordinary people having been used for multiple generation to be paysans.
For example LYON grew a huge activiyy in silk manufacturing.
So maybe Jean-Baptiste Bouillon ascendants have been lived in LYON for ever, or maybe they would have come from outide the Lyon area from Burgundy for exemaple (ther is less than 70 miles distance)somewhere betwenn 1800 and 1850 ?
In order to understand if such a possibility exists, you may decide to send me more detailled infos on your husband
name, relationships and above all DATES
I understand in you mail that you already know :
Jean Baptiste BOUILLON living in Lyon but when ?
...
Charles Bouillon living in US in 20th, son of ?
Your Husband living in US in 2003, son of Charles
If we are not relatives, maybe I can find ou some leads in the local French genealogy associations to help you a bit.
