I have been suspecting the same connection. I have seen references to Powhatan BOULDIN in my husbands family tree.

My husbands mother is descendant of Thomas Bouldin and back to England. His father is descended from Rebecca Pocahontas Bolling and Joseph Cabell. Rebecca Pocahontas Bolling was a grand daughter of Jane Rolfe that married Robert Bolling.

There is also a Hughes-Davis-Cabell connection to the Powhatan's.
