Am most interested in communicating with you about the Bouldin/Hudson/Glenn families of DL and MD.
I am researching an adjunct line of my Glenns who ended up in Page/Shenandoah Counties of VA. I have been following the line of a James B. Hudson b. MD who married Martha Glenn 9 May 1820 in New Castle DL. I have just learned that his name was James Bouldin Hudson and that he may have been born in Cecil County MD. James and Martha are both dead in Page County VA by 1845. The 1850 Census has three of their children listed: James B. Hudson, Jr. pb MD 1823, Rebecca Hudson pb MD 1826, and John W. Hudson pb MD, 1829. Living next door is a Perry Glenn, 14, who was also orphaned and in the Spitler family. I think he's related to Martha Glenn Hudson.
My line of Glenns descends from a John Glenn b. 1771, place and parents unknown. John Glenn m. Mary Bradley in 1796 in Carlisle, PA. and moved with the iron furnaces to Catoctin MD and then to Isabella Furnace in Luray, VA. He died there in 1825. I believe that perhaps Martha Glenn Hudson is related to John and if I can find her origin I might be able to find John Glenns.
I have seen several different genealogies which trace back to Jacob Alexander Glenn of Kent Co MD, each just a little different with different children and wives. One has Jacob Alexander being born in Schenectady NY in 1765 and married to (1)Ann Hanson and then (2)Rachel Copper. I would be most interested in where you got the marriage information for Jacob Alexander Glenn and Charlotte Bouldin and why you make that connection. I did locate a will of 1796 in New Castle DL for Bethiah Boldin which names her sister Charlotte Glenn with Uncle Elisha Bouldin, Exe.
Any help appreciated.
