Hi... I don'tknow if you know this, but Boucher means Butcher
In alot of the census material i have reveiwed it is not unlikely that the original spelling may have been LeBouchere
then got shortened to Bouchere, then to Boucher and then Boutcher then to Butcher. Sounds crazy but I have found census material also with the name as Bouvier And it has all gone back to my family which so far I have traced to Canada and are actually (so far) "Boucher"
