one Boutcher line in Australia

Have just recommenced my family history research and whilst there seems limited recent postings to this forum, thought I'd see whether a post would elicit any responses.

My great grandfather, Herman[n] Boutcher migrated to Australia sometime between his birth in 1857 (Cotbas, Germany)and his marriage to Mary Ann WHITE in 1869 and (finally??)settled in the area that now surrounds the Australian capital, Canberra -- and here the family has remained.

Have not yet been able to determine whether he migrated as part of a family or on his own.

Research yet to be confirmed indicates that his parents may have been named Herman[n] F and Auguste.

Anyone with relevant information or who just wants to compare info, most welcome ...
