Hi Joan!
I am looking for information about my maternal grandmother Diana who was a Bouthot. She was brought up in U.S.A. but I heard she was born in 1890 while the family was visiting family in Princeville, Québec. The family spent some time in Bratleborro( not sure about the spelling) Vermont and then established in Manchester New Hampshire. She had many brothers and sisters, all born in U.S.A. Some names I remember: Rose, Laura, Rosanna or Rose-Anna, Louis, Wilfrid.. I know the full name was Thibouthot and was an Acadian name. I guess it was shortened for commodity purpose. Does this fit with any of your information? I can't give you any information on Ste-Apolline yet but will look this up. Have you any information about ascendants, descendants or siblings? I live near Québec city and have easy access to the records at the Archives Nationales du Québec. I would like to share information with you and help if I can. You can e-mail me. I would also like to know more about the Boutot mailing list, like who started it, the contents and price of subscription, etc.
