Diane, I am having a problem e-mailing you, for some reason your address comes back as not able to deliver and with an extra T at the begining of the address. Gremlins at work on the internet.
The text of my e-mail:
Sorry I am so long in getting back to your BOUWKAMP Genforum response to my post. Actually, I had about given up on a response from anyone on that board. When I contacted Genforum to include that surname I was just sure that there were thousands of people looking for Bouwkamp information like me.
My grandfather was Herman Bouwkamp from Gronigen all the names that I have were listed in my post. I have two elderly aunts who, although born in the states, may have some memory of other names. They actually were the ones that provided me with the immediate family names. I am really interested in finding out about Hegge Bouwkamp. He seems to be the family mystery. He came to the states before my grandfather and was never heard from again. Hegge in English is translated to Harry. If I can be of any assistance to you, please let me know. My husband and I were supposed to travel to Gronigen this spring but I took ill and was unable to travel. I am hoping we can make it later this year or next year. I would love to see the place that my grandfather was raised and see if any other family members are still in the area.
Thanks for responding to my post and I look forward to hearing from you again.
