I don't know if this helps or just confuses, but Catherine Wilson, b. 1807 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania was the wife of Michael Bowser (of the Bowser book and father to John W. Bowser who was married to Hattie Cromer).I don't believe Catherine Wilson is mentioned in the Bowser book, but she is in our family's records, along with the date and place of her birth.Benjamin Smith Bowser and Lewis W. Bowser are also sons of Catherine Wilson and Michael Bowser. You might want to reconsider the Bowser book connection, as the names, dates and places seem to fit some of the information you have.Benjamin and Lewis were born in Ohio, fought for Missouri in the Civil War, then about 1883 moved to Los Angeles.Benjamin Bowser married Mary Elizabeth Bise (she had twins Emma Susan and Lewis Martin in Kansas; also Mary Alice).Lewis W. Bowser apparently never married.Their graves are all at Woodlawn Cemetery in Compton.
I think Catherine Wilson's parents were Thomas Wilson and Elizabeth Eckman, both of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
It would not be surprising if some of the information in the Bowser book is not 100% correct.
