There is an Oliver BOWSHER listed in Franklin BURKHARDT's book, _The BOUCHER Family_, but I'm not sure that they're a match. The Oliver I have info on says that he was born on 18 June 1827 in Ross Co., OH and was nine years old when his family moved to Allen Co., OH in 1836. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in the Lima/Cridersville area. His wife's name was Sarah BOWERS. Oliver died on 11 December 1885.

Their children included Franklin, Emmanuel, Mary A., Isabel, James A., Elsie, Dora, Flora, and Lydia.

As an aside, I've always thought that the picture of Oliver in Burkhardt's book (taken in 1870) resembled Abraham Lincoln. It's not just the hair and beard, it's the nose & the set of the eyes and the expression-kind, but sad.

Anyway, if you think they might be a match, let me know and I can give you more information. Or, if Kay Bowsher reads this, she can probably give you even more information than I can. Good luck!
