George William Hallmark, early settler of Texas, son of George and Leanah (Mynatt) Hallmark, was born in Botetourt County, Virginia, in 1778 and died 1852 in Texas. He married 4 times: m1 Sarah Calvert, m2 Elvy Duke, m3 Jincy Box Thompson, m4 Salena.
I would like information on George's third wife, JINCY BOX THOMPSON.
Was BOX her maiden name?
Was she a widow when she married George? If so, who was her first husband?
Who were her parents?
George Hallmark's four wives:
1. He married Sarah Calvert around 1800 in Tennessee, and they had eleven children. The family moved to Alabama in the early 1800s. Sarah died sometime before 1828.
2. George married Elvey Dukes in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, on April 9, 1828. They had no children.
3. George was married again on April 6, 1831, to JINCY BOX THOMPSON in Blount County, Alabama, and they had two children.
4. George Hallmark married a woman named Salena on June 30, 1839, in Nacogdoches County. They had one son.
