The 1850 Tippah Co. census shows William Box, son of Robert Box, as born abt. 1800 in South Carolina. The census does not show he had a son named Hiram.
Hiram Box b. abt 1833 is in Mason Box's household in 1850 census of Fayette Co. AL. In the 1860 census, a Hiram F. Box is living with his sister Julia and her husband Jonathon Graham in Calhoun Co. MS. In the 1870 Calhoun Co. MS census, a Hiram A. Box b. 1836, and his wife, Louisa, have a son named William Box, age 3 years. This seems to be the family you are researching.
