Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum

will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Your interpretation is interesting and seems plausible to me. I have seen John Box, jr. in the SC on-line archives and wondered if John Box of Laurens was his father. John jr. also appears in a plat for Solomon Cole in 1805. The other documents (except John sr.'s Will) are not in the on-line archives. May I ask where you found them? My particular interest in John jr. would be if he also had sons. My ancestor, John Box, was b. bet. 1795 and 1800 in NC. His brother, William, was b. abt. 1805 in SC. They appear in southern GA (Lowndes, Ware, Clinch Counties) in the mid-late 1830s. Their wifes and oldest children were born in SC. John's sons were: Hansford (probably the same as a Joseph H.), John S., and William. His daughters were: Sarah, Lucy, and Rachel, the last two being of special note. William's sons were: Richard, Joseph, John, and Allen. His daughters were: Caroline, Martha, and Fanny. Two other possible daughters are Wealthy A. and Ardelia. Fanny may be a nickname for Wealthy. Any insight would be appreciated.
